We are planning a Perseid Meteor Shower watching event at a venue on the outskirts of Chennai on . The venue is approximately 2–3 hours from Chennai. We plan to leave after work in the evening and return to Chennai the following morning, before office hours. The registration process will be similar to our star parties. Started by two college students in 2013, Chennai Astronomy Club is a volunteer-run, non-profit astronomy community in Chennai for anyone curious about the night sky.
We organise stargazing events, star parties, meetups, school outreach programs, and astronomy workshops. CAC is free to join, beginner-friendly, and built by members who enjoy observing, learning, and sharing the sky with others.
